About the Item
Hand-knotted in 1995 in the mountainous regions of the Middle Atlas, this Berber rug is a work that combines traditional craftsmanship and aesthetic research. Made of pure natural wool, it is distinguished by the sobriety of its lines, the balance of its proportions and the authentic character of the artifact.
The colors featured-in warm and neutral shades-are obtained exclusively from natural dyes, according to ancestral knowledge based on plant pigments, minerals and earths. The geometric composition, at once simple and profound, reflects the weaver's creative freedom and her interpretation of Amazigh symbolism.
This item was carefully selected by Afolki for its formal integrity and quality of materials. It lends itself perfectly to contemporary environments that wish to dialogue with the authenticity and cultural value of Berber craftsmanship.
In great vintage condition. No restoration. Professional cleaning performed.
