About the Item

'Erased Berber' is one of our most representative examples of our contemporary Moroccan-inspired collection. Here the large scale all-over pattern consists of a honeycomb arrangement of generously spaced polygons in black against a pure white background. This arrangement is fairly typical of the rugs of the Beni Ouarain confederation of Berber tribes, who are located in the mountainous Middle Atlas region and whose rugs have become extremely popular in the last decade. The rug is woven in such a way so that the pattern is partially concealed by the white background, resulting in a more subtle, easy to live with carpet. Berber rugs of this type are the perfect complement to Mid-Century Modern design furniture, as they were discovered by the pioneers of Scandinavian design since its inception.
