About the Item
This rug features a repeating pattern of small rectangular panels filled with diagonal geometric designs. The color palette is warm and earthy, with shades of red, orange, brown, and cream. Horizontal bands with zigzag and diamond motifs run across the rug, adding structure and contrast. The rug ends with a fringe at the bottom, giving it a traditional, handcrafted look. Its overall style feels tribal and decorative, with a lively yet balanced pattern.

Vintage Moroccan Kilim
Located in Barrington, IL
Beautiful flatwoven rug or a kilim from the mid-1900s. The color scheme and design resemble the Navajo rugs from the Southwest US. A series of triangles in teal green, dark red, bluish-purple, black, and bright orange are arranged in a zigzag pattern down the center of the field. The charcoal border with repeating ivory diamonds. The top of the rug has more earth tones and muted colors whereas the backside has brighter colors as shown in the photo. So it is truly a two-sided carpet!! Because of the kilim flatweave, the rug can be used on either side depending on the design needs and color preference. The last six photos show the color for the backside of the kilim.
