This addition to Rug
Kilim’s extensive contemporary and modern rug collection recaptures the inspiration of a classic Moroccan Berber rug in new large-scale and textural high-low production. The thick braiding at the playful fringes, borders and mid-field stripe complements the positive-negative play of blue and white with meticulous craftsmanship, hand knotted in wool originating from one of our most widely regarded looms in Morocco. Dually the very quiet nature of the fine black geometry lends a very reserved, balancing gravity to contemporary and modern projects seeking the traditional Moroccan aesthetic in this appealing large size, meanwhile the very open feeling to the diamond pattern gives a sense of movement while subtly leading the eye to admire the knotting, as well as the gray-silver colorway created by the trick of white and blue in such fine play.
