Kilim. It represents some of the most devoted nomadic weavers in rural Morocco, both keeping a rich tradition alive and helping it to flourish with new possibilities today.
On the Design:
These photos depict a recently sold 10x13 rug that enjoys a green field and off-white geometric pattern. Admirers of the craft will note an impressive large-scale adaptation of primitivist lozenges (Berber symbols that resemble diamond patterns). Keen eyes will further admire the variety of greens, ranging from army green, hunter green, olive green and beyond.
