This addition to Rug
Kilim’s extensive contemporary and modern rug collection recaptures the inspiration of a classic Moroccan Berber rug in new large-scale and textural high-low production. The thick braiding at the playful fringes, borders and field stripes complements the positive-negative play of black and white with meticulous craftsmanship, hand knotted in wool originating from one of our most widely regarded looms in Morocco. The gray-silver colorway created by the trick of white and black in such fine proximity also complements the very quiet nature of the geometry and the concentration of color in an almost paneled look, ultimately creating a very reserved, gentle piece for contemporary and modern projects seeking the traditional Moroccan aesthetic in this appealing large size.
