Kilim's new geometric Moroccan rug from Rug
Kilim was produced with the advantages of newer-loom production in its country. While older Moroccan looms were too small to accommodate area rugs of this size, newer looms like the one that produced this piece enjoy spaciousness and plush, mixed pile height. This finely woven mixture is accented by the sharp black geometric field design and border, which gives dimensionality to the raised, softly textured cream white pile, inviting to walk over the foot. Unique to this piece, also, is the series of abstract, discontinuing black vectors in the field, smoothly fading from the more prevalent borders resembling a classic Moroccan design.
