Rare original Tuareg mat, handmade in the 1970s in Mauritania by the nomadic peoples of the Sahara. Woven with oasis reed and decorated with strips of natural leather, this mat is a masterpiece of tribal craftsmanship, created to protect against heat and sand in Tuareg tents.
