About the Item
This Beni Ourain rug was produced in 1920's by the nomadic Berber tribes in North Africa. Beni Ourain rugs are identified by their geometric lines that form an overall asymmetrical pattern. This rug is made of 100% handspun wool from the Atlas Mountain region. It has an unusual large size for this vintage rug. A distinct addition was made perhaps to accommodate a larger setting.
