About the Item

Circa 1930s, this handwoven Navajo rug features a classic serrated diamond pattern running down the center field, with five bold lozenges in warm ivory framed by brick red and deep brown. The background is a soft, striated beige/tan wool that shows off the natural variation of handspun yarn, giving the piece beautiful movement and depth. Framed by a dramatic border of tooth-like triangles at the top and bottom and stepped motifs on the sides, the design has that strong graphic look collectors love while staying neutral enough to work in modern interiors. Woven in all-wool weft and warp, this textile is suitable as a floor rug, wall hanging, or statement piece over a console or bed. Approximate size: 4' x 7'5"
