About the Item

This finely knotted village scatter shows an open ecru-straw field centred by a shield pendanted skeletal medallion with an open ecru octofoil sub-medallion and dark blue trails forming an overall framework. In other words, the medallion is open, as are the conjoint corners. Royal blue accents and vines. Ecru main strip style border with open beveled squares and deeply serrated leaves. On cotton. A very attractive piece from the best period of 19th century Persian weaving for the domestic market. Genuine and authentic. Rug Size 4x5'10
