An exceptional 19th-century Persian Senneh rug masterfully handwoven in a Kurdish village of western Persia around the third quarter of the 1800s. This finely knotted piece features an intricate allover paisley pattern rendered in harmonious tones of pale latte, chocolate brown, and French blue. The central medallion, set against a rich chocolate field, is framed by a beautifully balanced French blue border. Exemplifying the refinement and precision for which Senneh rugs are celebrated, this rug captures a timeless aesthetic that has endured through centuries of Persian artistry.
