An amazing early 20th century Persian Sarouk Farahan rug with a large central medallion composed of multiple flowers woven in crimson, light and dark indigo, brown and cream colored wool on a dark indigo background, all amidst another field of flowers and scrolling vines woven in similar colors to the medallion. The border is fabulous with a wide floral and leaf patterned central stripe flanked by a pair of matching petite floral patterned stripes.
