About the Item
This runner was hand woven in the village of Serab, north west Persia. Hand spun camel wool, both natural and synthetic dye was used to make the runner. Village of Serab is known to make runners and not room size carpet, presumably because production was geared to the home market, not export market. Measures: 15' x 3'1".
This runner has elongated, lozenge shaped fields containing diamond-shaped medallions. The beautiful border is decorated with zoomorphic devices that gives it a unique look. No restorations was found on this runner and the condition is mint.
