About the Item
Woven in vibrant shades of red, blue, pink, cream, green, and gold wool, this Persian Bakhtiari carpet is hand-knotted in pure handspun wool and measures 4’6” x 7’0”. The hand-knotted construction utilizes a traditional Persian weave, which produces a soft pile and a durable foundation. To obtain the bright hues of wool, the dye master utilized organic vegetable dyes. Today, weavers still prefer these organic dyes for their rich and fade-resistant tones. This carpet is in excellent antique condition.
