This antique, circa 1900, Persian Serab runner field with an overall design of dense cherry-red linked lozenges each containing a central lozenge containing four tiny ivory lozenges surrounded by light blue floral vine and a camel-brown plain band linking at each side and end a charcoal-black and sky-blue part lozenges, in an ivory border of meandering polychrome floral vine between brick-red linked lozenge vine and charcoal-black and sky-blue alternatively facing vase motifs between plain and chequerboard minor stripes.
