This antique, circa 1900, Malayer rug has an indigo-blue field with two broad horizontal bands of shaded terracotta-red of bold floral spays surrounded by further floral and leafy arrangements all linked by a dense floral and leafy vine, in a broad sea-blue border of polychrome palmettes linked by angular leafy vine between broad shaded red linked lozenge stripes.
