About the Item
This antique, circa 1910, Persian Kerman rug features a field with an overall design of four rows of large blue linked floral panels containing scrolling floral vine around caramel-brown oblong roundels with a central rosette surrounded by flowerheads all linked by large bands of buff-brown linked lozenges with floral motifs, the central band with a pair of rosettes issuing four lobed buff-brown tear-drop lozenges, in a caramel-brown border of meandering vine enclosing a floral spray and further floral motifs between ivory floral vine stripes.
