Kilim welcomes this antique 10x12 Doroksh rug of the 1920s to its reputed classics collection. Often referred to as the ideal decorative carpet, the traditional piece carries a commanding brown-black medallion on a minimal beige backdrop further encased in elaborate borders for a rich masculine presence. Among the most desirable of its kind in classics, a piece in good condition and scale for a medallion pattern—well suited for prestigious projects yearning for an impactful piece.
On the Condition: While there were some minor repairs done, our principal feels this piece remains the most fabulous drawing almost akin to a museum-caliber carpet. Among the finest Doroksh editions he’s seen among the grandfather lineage of Persian weaving, promising to age beautifully.
