About the Item
This antique Persian Serab runner has a camel-brown field with an overall dense shaded indigo and light blue lattice containing stylized flowerheads and floral motifs around a column of five cusped lozenges with a central blue minor lozenge issuing floral stems, in a border of linked rectangular panels each with a central flowerhead and a minor flowerhead at each end, the ivory inner stripe with meandering terracotta-red and chocolate-brown meandering floral vine, the outer brick-red indigo and light blue alternating inwardly facing Y-motif, plain outer broad camel-brown stripe.
