About the Item
This antique Karabagh rug has a sandy-yellow field with a delicate chocolate-brown and shaded pink linked boteh linked by angular flowerhead vines, a curved sandy-yellow band at one end with delicate floral motifs, a zig-zag panel at each side linking a broad sandy-yellow band with floral motifs and a mole-grey inward facing jagged stripe, the chocolate-brown spandrels with a mole-brown hooked vine issuing boteh and further floral motifs, in a light-blue border of linked soft terracotta lozenges and floral motifs at each side between soft terracotta meandering floral and plain chocolate-brown stripes.
