About the Item
This bold study in dark red and light blue shows an octagonal central medallion enclosing a stepped ecru panel and centred by a light blue, lobed sub-medallion. Powerful red geometric volutes curve in from the corners. Main red border with rosettes and a partially fringed, organizing trapezoidal meander. Moderate weave. Good condition. The weavers have concentrated on impact rather than filling all the available areas.
