Antique Iran Lillihan wool on Cotton 5'2'' x 6'4''. Lillihan is one of the best weaving villages in the Greater Hamadan Weaving Region and specialized in rust red scatters and runners with detached floral spray patterns in the general "American Sarouk" style.
Here an oval flanged rosette medallion centres a jagged leaf, palmette and pinwheel rosette disjoint design with semi-realistic flowers standing tall against the side borders, on a rust ground. Navy main frame of various palmettes and acanthus leaf Meander. Cotton foundation, good condition.
