About the Item
Antique Lori Rug 5'3'' x 9'5''. Or maybe Khamseh, but SW Persian anyway. The deep blue field is centered by a pole medallion of five diamonds, serrated edge panels in red, dark blue and mustard, with cruciform centres, and supported by an amusing host of small birds, little animals, diminutive tulips, rosettes, lazy S's, and other geometric devices. Main blue border of simple rosettes and palmettes on a red vine. Outer ivory flip-flop vine with profile florets. All wool construction. Tribal, nomadic piece. Good condition.
