About the Item
In this listing you will find a stunning hand-knotted Malayer rug, done in 100% wool dyed in natural dyes. Prized for its rustic aesthetic, combination of dark and warm colors, and geometric patterns. The repeating abstract motifs and rich colors are characteristic of nomadic weavings. The rug is estimated to be woven in the cca. 1920s. Due to it's dimensions it could work as a large runner rug too.
Rug is in overall good antique condition. There was a small repair on one of the corners that is barely noticable. It is shown in one of the pictures.
