Herati design distressed Bidjar antique Persian rug in a variety of green, taupe green background and soft red border , rug EMB-9542-P13037-05, country of origin / type: Iran / Bidjar, circa 1900
This magnificent Bidjar with an exquisite, all-over pattern, rests beautifully on variety of light green colors along with brown, salmon, ivory and light blue colors. Depictions of flowers, vines and other motifs are captivating in their delicacy on the all over Herati design background. The intricate border features ornamental, repeating geometrics and vines that imbue the piece with decadence. The complexity of the rug's pattern and flawless structure becomes increasingly apparent the longer one studies it.
