Cleverly composed and poised to impress with its rustic sensibility, this hand knotted wool antique Persian Malayer runner will take on a curated lived-in look that feels timeless while imparting a sense of warmth and welcomed informality. The abrashed field composed of a lozenge lattice provides a beautiful backdrop for the three navy blue serrated Herati medallions anchored with elongated pendants. Complementary corner spandrels echo the Herati pattern and outlined in brick red and avocado colored lines giving it a sense of order and definition. The Classic Herati design, also known as the Mahi or fish pattern, is among the most widespread and well known of all Persian designs, consisting of a flower centered in a diamond accompanied by curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish. With its effortless beauty in a warm and regal color palette, this antique Persian carpet runner is the answer to elevated traditional furnishings.
