About the Item
A beautiful and rare horse cover created in the town of Sanneh in Kurdistan region. The rug must have been woven by an artist/weaver as a gift to be taken to her home after she is married,a tribal tradition.The horse cover features a navy blue field of an unequal pentagon shape with addition of rust color corner to make it a complete square.The addition is decorated with Boteh design and the rug is framed by lovely Safran yellow and sky blue borders.
All dyes used to make this rug are absolutely organic,all cuts are original and they were made to accommodate the horse covering. There are few professional restorations completed on this rug. There is an extra cloth backing to protect the rug and make it easier to be used for the floor or being hung as an art piece.
