This antique Persian Serapi rug has an ivory field with angular brick-red, ice-blue and medium blue angular palmette and serrated leaf and flowerhead vine around a terracotta-red stepped lozenge with bold palmette pendants, a sea-blue cusped medallion with a central floral rosette issuing angular floral vine surrounded by narrow band of angular vine linking an angular light blue palmette in each corner, the ice-blue, terracotta-red and ivory linked spandrels similar, in a broad terracotta-red border of light blue, ivory, medium blue turtle-palmettes linked by angular leafy and flowerhead vine between indigo-blue floral vine and ivory linked lozenge stripes.
