About the Item
In this listing you will find a gorgeous little Antique hand-knotted silk runner rug in fabulous colors. The rug features a classic design with a dominant central medallion and detailed floral motifs that fill the surrounding field and borders (Shah Abbasi floral design is a possibility). The colors are primarily turqoise and beige tones with hints of red or coral. The floral pattern is densely packed, fluid, and extremely fine — typical of Lavar (the most detailed Kerman subgroup). Approximate time of weaving is estimated to be 1890-1910.
The runner is small and perfect to be on the wall, or as a small detail next or in front of your favorite armchair. It is in relatively good antique condition with some signs of time and use.
