About the Item
The beige field is closely covered by a small scale all-over Herati pattern set within a border system including two ivory minors with pentagonal whole flower patterns and a broader rust main with oval palmettes joined by an acanthus strapwork. The pile varies in height, with some areas high and others worn to ribbing. The tonality is light, but not pastel or overly subdued.
