About the Item
This city carpet with a light straw palette has a field in a rough hexagon compartment allover design in the style of certain 17th century “Vase carpets”. The compartments show various bud arrays, rosettes and palmettes. Special attention to the slightly displaced four brick panels with central oval palmettes. Straw border with round curlicue motives. Significant even wear.
