In this listing you will find a superb Antique Tabriz rug with a central medallion design. The motifs are stylized and geometric, which often indicates a tribal or village provenance rather than a formal, urban workshop creation that typically has more fluid, curvilinear floral designs. Hand-knotted in 100% virgin wool, rug features beautiful floral and geometric patterns and the stunning earthy colors, which a result of over 100 years of use and exposure to water and sun. Hand-knotted in West Asia in the 1920s or slightly earlier.
The rug is in good antique condition with no damages
