Antique Tehran rug circa 1880. Rug production in Tehran the capital of Persia was only for a short period from around 1860s to the 1950s and are considered to be of a high quality. This lovely example with a flowering tree in the center surrounded in great detail by other floral designs and surrounded by a border repeating the theme is an example of the extreme skill and craftsmanship of the weavers. Size: 4'5 x 7'4.
