The deep red and coral field of this post WWI Kurdistan town scatter shows a disjoint version of the Avshan design with pairs of "gooseneck" forked arabesques and symmetric stepped rosette or palmettes. This very heavy texture rug is in top condition with intact original endweaves. The red border shows a turtle palmette pattern in ivory and medium blue.
