About the Item

In this listing you will find an Antique Turkmen Chuval. The chuval, or a bag or floor pillow case, is made of hand-woven 100% wool dyed in natural colors. The bag has only the face and it appears it never had the back side to create an actual bag. It features distinctive geometric patterns known as gul motifs, which are hallmarks of Central Asian tribal weaving heritage. It can serve as small floor coverings, wall hangings, or tabletop accents. Hand-woven in Afghanistan in the last quarter of 19th Century. The chuval is in good condition. When purchased the chuval will be carefully wrapped up and packed in a way to avoid any damages in transport. As soon as shipped you will receive the tracking number for your package. If you have any additional questions regarding this piece please feel free to contact me. Happy shopping!
