This exquisite antique Ziegler carpet beautifully illustrates the stunning Persian workmanship of the late 19th century. The intricate and colorful central medallion rests upon a field of beautiful medium blue grey and elegant medallion which reflects the great influence of European designers of the era in its design and coloration. A broad multi-band border of various shades of red, green, cream, yellow and blue contributes to the rug's overall elegance.
