About the Item

Persian carpet of probable Baluch manufacture, hand-knotted in the first half of the twentieth century (1930s-50s), from the eastern area of Iran, bordering Afghanistan. Small in size (180 x 96 cm), it features geometric decoration on a dark red and brown background, enriched with stylized floral motifs and central medallions. Warm colors, with white, orange and green details, are typical of this tribal tradition. Made of wool on wool warp and weft, it is in good overall condition; it has only slight wear at the lower margin on one side, easily restorable. This is an authentic specimen with an understated yet vibrant aesthetic, perfect for both classic and contemporary settings.
