Hand knotted in wool originating from the few remaining collaborations between renowned creators George Yevremovich and Teddy Sumner, this item is a contemporary rug between 20-25 years old, hand made in the 1990s with subtle nods to classic Persian rug sensibilities. The rarity of this black border and the complementary pallet of exceptionally rich red, warm pink, uncommon variations of blue, and a tasteful beige-brown delegation all enjoy the pristine condition of the piece and the noteworthy quality of its dual creators, celebrated in the field of luxury rug for craftsmanship and inspiration. Procured in Turkey, the yarns were dyed there as well with a vegetable dye before being sent to India for weaving—an exemplary piece borrowing subtle nods to Bidjar and varied tribal patterns in a remarkable, classic beauty.
