Made with hand-knotted wool, this 8x10 antique Persian rug of Heriz provenance is a rare and exciting new curation from Rug
Kilim featuring floral patterns in navy, rust, beige and gold tones.
On the Design:
Admirers of the craft will note this is a very special piece of its provenance—one of the few that can be found in this size and scale, with particularly powerful versions of the quintessential colors Heriz rugs favor. Here, a field of deep navy and rich burgundy forms a dramatic stage, from which a powerful, stepped central medallion emerges as a focal point. This central motif is a kaleidoscope of geometric and floral forms, its meticulously rendered details dancing outward into a labyrinth of interlocking rosettes and stylized vines. The elaborate, multi-layered borders echo this grand design, their intricate patterns enjoying a sophisticated palette of lighter beige, gold, and vibrant earth tones.
