73608 Distressed Antique Persian Malayer Gallery Rug with Camel Hair 06'06 x 13'02. Warm and rustic style meets unpretentious and simple. This hand knotted wool distressed antique Persian Malayer gallery rug features a pole medallion with two hexagons connected by a small lozenge in the centre. The hexagonal and lozenge medallions are outlined with serrated edges and composed of a low-contrasting geometric pattern of repeating scorpion motifs forming a honeycomb lattice-work design. An all-over Herati pattern on an ink blue backdrop. To offset the regal color palette, this impeccably woven Malayer also contains camel hair. The camel hair produces a beautiful range of soft and lustrous earth tones, significantly enhancing the aesthetic of this antique rug. It is enclosed with a variation of a palmette and turtle scroll border. Perfect for a wide hallway, alcove, mudroom, kitchen, corridor, grand foyer, designer entryway, home office, private library, conservatory, wine cellar, executive suite, grand parlor, theater room, royal suite, billiards room, game room, bedroom, study, sitting room, sunroom-- or it would make a lovely accent next to a buffet in a dining room, behind the sofa table in the living room, or by a vestibule in a hotel lobby.
