Authentic Persian Meshad handmade wool rug
Size: 11'2" × 16'8" (340 × 508 cm)
This Persian Meshad rug was created circa 1900. Its abrashed tan field carries an overall garden curvilinear design of elongated flowering vinery, shrubs, and trees, enclosed within a midnight blue border of palmettes and lush flowering vinery.
The rug was carefully hand knotted out of the finest wool in accordance with traditional weaving techniques by a skilled artisan. A future owner may rest reassured that this piece of venerable Persian art will serve him for generations without any signs of wear.
