This antique Persian runner has a shaded sea-blue field with an overall design of three vertical columns of polychrome brick-red, ivory and pistachio-green floral sprays issuing from an angular vine and surrounded by similarly coloured plant motifs and a vertical row at each side of polychrome delicate floral stems, in a brick-red border of angular flowerhead and lozenge vine between and inner burgundy-red and ivory hooked part lozenge stripe and plain outer narrow stripes.
