This exquisite Early 20th Century Persian Lilian runner / area rug is a rare and highly versatile example of fine village weaving from western Iran. Dating to the early 1900s, this piece offers the sought-after flexibility of functioning beautifully either as a graceful hallway runner or as an elegant small-scale area rug, making it ideal for refined residential interiors and design projects alike.
The field is anchored by a luminous terracotta ground, a signature of Lilian weavings, providing warmth and depth while allowing the intricate all-over floral pattern to shine.
