About the Item
An antique Persian Shiraz accent rug. This generically ‘Shiraz’. South Persian surely, this all wool nomadic rug has a dark blue subfield centered by a red and celadon pole medallion of three joined minutely stepped hexagons, all surrounded by a busy scatter fill of complete flowers in vases, rosettes and vegetal cruciform. The rust field corners display ivory octagons en suite with those in the pole medallion.
