Antique Fereghan rugs are renowned for their combination of crisp drawing with soft lustrous wool. The rare and wonderful design of this elegant piece combines a detailed repeat of linked multicolored blossoms throughout the corners of the field with an empty ivory center spaciously highlighting a well-drawn floral medallion. It is framed by a traditional linked palmette border executed in terracotta with classic central Persian celadon and other jewel-like tones.
