About the Item

An antique Persian Tabriz accent rug. This antique Tabriz scatter rug is designed in the style of certain Mohtashem Kashans of the later 19th century. The rust cartouche-shaped field is centered by a tall, lobed medallion with geometricized floral elements framing and anchoring it. In the corners are diagonally set shallow vases and emerging thin plants. The border is a Tabriz giveaway with the end sections running straight across instead of turning in the Kashan manner. Hand-knotted in Persia Wool One-of-a-kind Measures: 4' 3" x 5' 10"
