About the Item

A vintage Persian Shiraz rug. This south Persian small tribal scatter has a boteh-strewn light red--brown field supporting a pinched grey-blue subfield which, in turn, is centered by a simple brown pole medallion of two stepped hexagons with ivory octopus medallions. The ivory slanted leaf border has the most vestigial of intervening flower forms. Hand-knotted in Persia Wool One-of-a-kind Measures: 3' 4" x 4' 8"
