About the Item

This vintage midcentury Persian rug, circa 1950-1960 measures 3’5 x 13’8 and features a Mahal rug design of collectible renown. As with most Mahal designs, this runner has a coarse weave, handmade in wool with striking blue and yellow complemented by subtle notes of green, lending this runner especially versatile decorative possibilities along with its European sensibility. The traditional all-over design and the dimension of this floral pattern play with the sought-after colors in a regal fashion, particularly well-suited in its dimensions to hallway runner and entryway runner projects. The ornate border design and the meticulous floral patterns in the field are breathtaking and will complement discerning rooms with an air of grace and culture—a welcomed vintage Mahal Persian runner joining Rug Kilim’s Antique Vintage rug collection.
