This antique, circa 1900, Fereghan rug has a royal-blue field with an overall design of bold vertical rows of ivory, rust-red and buff-brown alternatively facing boteh, in an ivory border of dense shaded blue linked lozenge vine each lozenge containing a central flowerhead and delicate floral motifs between shaded apricot and rust-red meandering floral vine stripes.
